there are some seriously cool photos on that site. amazing.

THAT is 'cross, baby. none of this mamby-pamby dirt crit crapola that we seem to be doing these days. thank God for brian h (boulder racing) races, because he at least makes us get off of our bikes. turns out that running and obstacles are actually supposed to be a part of this crazy sport...

we need to find some old retro fixey crosser rigs and show up on them this season. how cool would that be?

I remember seeing this total kook on a full on fixie CX rig at the first (or maybe 2nd?) Pilarcitos race in Golden Gate Park some time ago. The dude was FLYING on this thing. It was mad.

But you're right. I'd love to see more barrier work. Surd Cuty races had set after set. We're not racing UCI with all the limitations. Brian H does a sick job of inputting natural features, you're right. In Europe (Holland especially) stair cases are used (and I am not talking about the aluminum ones) and features in a lot of the parks they use there. I have this vid from 2000 with Reechard in the stripes where they make these poor bastards do (no kidding) about 75 stair steps. Awesome.
