It's the Indian, not the Arrow...

...or so Timmy said this past weekend and made me chuckle. So true. While I like my arrows, this 'Indian' needs to ride fast! Anyhoo, I had to dial in the 'A-arrow' after last weekend's debacle. Some cool bits....

Threw on some Ksyrium's and finally went for the DA 10 upgrade after many many years running DA9.

Went back to Challenge Griffo 32's with the 07/08 tread pattern.

Check this out: Ultegra lever. What's missing?

My main man Brandon gave me his modified levers for single ring applications. Shift lever has been removed and new bits milled inside for preventing lever movement. Sweet.

why not just roll with a non sti/aero brake lever on the left?

I like to have identical lever feel and the old Dura Ace non STI levers are just too skinny and don't feel right. I've got a box of 'em.

wimp.... you shouldn't be feeling that lever anyway ;)

Didn't someone say that brakes only slow you down?

Ah! My dear J-Rad. It is not the brake levers, per se, it's the hoods i like consistent feel of. I am a HUGE fan of the Belgian school of cross instruction. Belgian coaches tell their students to never pull those hands from the hoods. Rarely on the tops in fact as it puts you too upright. It's the reason I dumped those cheater levers on the tops years ago. I kept using my brakes!

fwiw, those cane creek scr-5 levers have quite good feel and are pretty light. They also have those very useful campy-style ajustment knobs that allow you to introduce more slack for changeing wheels or when your brakes get clogged-up with mud.

I too hate the skinny shimano aero levers. Terrible feel.

IMO, Shimano levers, both STI and aero, are incredibly ugly.

I never leave the drops...I don't even know what a hood is
