A cyclocross race decomposed | Brian Patrick's video of the Blue Sky Halloween Cup

Brian has outdone himself. What a fantastic keepsake for our tribe of 35 Open racers out here in Colorado. He filmed this and spliced together all the sound to punctuate the action with the racer's commentary. Listen close and you'll see what I mean.

I can't wait for my boys to see this when they're older.

Super Bad-ass!!! The B&W footage gives it such a cool vintage feel. Nicely done!

Thanks for the post! It turns out the audio was natural in each shot selection. I did a little audio blending so the audio cuts were not as abrupt as the video edits, but for the most part, what you hear is natural sound throughout. I liked this better than a music bed for the soundtrack. As for the black & white - just thought I would try something different than all the other Blue Sky videos out on the web.

brian...great job! i agree, the black/white & natural sound give it a raw quality that's perfect for 'cross. I would love to see this huge at the Boulder Theater!

Excellent video and the mud was almost as good as a moist NW race. Good practice for the Portland USGP and potentially Nationals.
